How to Play Hyper Olympic '84
Quick start
- Start swimming when the race begins.
- Alternate the two Run buttons for speed.
- Press Action for a breath when prompted.
- Check the next event’s instructions before using the same buttons again.
Controls
Use the two Run buttons and the separate Action button. In swimming, Run builds speed and Action takes a prompted breath. In skeet, the Run buttons fire left/right. In jumping and archery events, time Action and its hold/release to set the launch or angle.
Hyper Olympic '84 — About this game
Hyper Olympic '84 tests the athlete across seven events with different uses for the same three buttons. Swimming needs speed and timed breaths, skeet needs a left or right shot at the right moment, and the vault asks for a controlled takeoff and landing. Archery, triple jump, weightlifting and pole vault add their own timing demands. Meeting each event’s qualifying mark advances the competition; a later round raises the challenge.
