How to Play Hatch Catch

Quick start

Check the colour of the available block.
Choose a placement that joins matching colours.
Shoot to form a line of at least three.
Repeat until all blocks have disappeared.

Controls

Use the directional controls to choose the position and line for the current coloured block. Use the two action inputs to shoot or place the block and confirm the current choice; the exact physical split between the generic Button 1 and Button 2 labels is not inferred.

Hatch Catch — About this game

Hatch Catch sends coloured blocks toward the arrangement waiting at the top of the screen. Placing a shot so that it creates a line of at least three matching colours removes those blocks. The stage is completed only when the whole arrangement has been cleared, making the colour of the next shot and the useful landing position part of every decision. Clearing one line is therefore a way to open the next placement rather than the end of the puzzle.
