Controls
Use the directional controls to move the tank around the scrolling field. The two action buttons operate the standard shot and missile attacks; watch the radar while firing and moving toward useful pickups.

Heavy Metal (315-5135) sends a tank through automatically scrolling battlefields with room to move around the next attack. A sweeping radar marks both the tank and approaching enemies, helping identify threats before they reach the immediate firing line. Coloured pickups add protection, stronger shots, a stronger missile or increased speed. Since a hit can destroy the tank, choosing a route toward an upgrade must still leave room to avoid the enemy formation. The vertical advance continues while those movement and equipment decisions are made.
