Iga Ninjyutsuden (Japan) is an exact registered version in this game family. Ninja Kazan sends its ninja through open-ended stages in search of the missing writings that preserve secret techniques. A sword provides the starting attack, while exploring the levels uncovers longer-range weapons and other useful items. Holding the attack action prepares magic, with stronger techniques requiring a longer charge. Demons, traps and the boss guarding each writing make the search more involved than simply running toward the right edge of the screen.
