Quick start
- Choose one of the six initial fighters.
- Test Light Punch, Heavy Punch, Light Kick and Heavy Kick at their different ranges.
- If using Lau, enter Down, Down-Forward, Forward + Punch for Flame Orb.
- Repeat a direction twice for a forward dash or retreat.
Controls
Use the joystick for direction and the four actions Light Punch, Heavy Punch, Light Kick and Heavy Kick. Forward, Forward dashes; Back, Back retreats. Example, facing right: Lau’s Flame Orb is Down, Down-Forward, Forward + Punch. Reverse horizontal directions when facing left. Super techniques require a flashing life bar; their inputs depend on the fighter.

Jackie Chan: The Kung-Fu Master offers six fighters whose digitised appearances accompany different close-range and special attacks. Four buttons divide light and heavy punches from light and heavy kicks, allowing a sequence to move between attack types. Directional motions add each character’s special techniques, while a flashing life bar enables desperation attacks. Jackie appears as the opponent in three fighting styles during the single-player route; this release keeps him outside the initial playable roster.
