How to Play J. J. Squawkers (older)

Quick start

  1. Learn movement and Jump with the starting tomato attack.
  2. Defeat a special item-dropping enemy.
  3. Check the new weapon’s range and trajectory.
  4. Keep moving before the stage timer expires.

Controls

Movement is accompanied by Attack and Jump. Attack uses the currently collected projectile weapon, so its path and useful range can change after a pickup.

J. J. Squawkers (older) — About this game

J. J. Squawkers (older) sends Ani and Ototo through a run-and-jump journey filled with unusual projectile weapons. Tomatoes begin the attack with an arcing flight, while weapon pickups can replace them with a short spread, travelling screws or a ground-crawling spring. The shape of the next attack therefore changes which platform or enemy group can be reached safely. Defeated special enemies drop useful items, and a timer discourages waiting in one cleared corner. Learn the tomato’s arc before collecting a different weapon, then test its range before jumping toward another group.
