How to Play Journey
Quick start
- Steer the Scarab toward the desired planet.
- Guide the musician through that course’s obstacles to the instrument.
- Use the recovered instrument to blast through the return route.
- Complete the five recoveries, then move the roadie to stop fans at the concert.
Controls
Eight-way joystick: position the Scarab, musician or roadie. Fire button: use the musician’s weapon after recovering the instrument; its firing directions depend on the current musician.
Journey — About this game
Journey sends the band’s Scarab vehicle among five planets to recover stolen instruments. Each musician faces a different obstacle course, from swinging gates and a jetpack cavern to moving platforms and drums that disappear after another landing. Recovering the instrument provides the means to shoot through the return route. Completing all five recoveries leads to a concert, where the roadie must keep alien fans away from the stage. The changing courses make watching the next obstacle as useful as aiming the newly recovered weapon.
