How to Play Puzzled / Joy Joy Kid (NGM-021 ~ NGH-021)

Quick start

Move and rotate the falling piece toward a useful gap.
Complete horizontal lines to open the balloon’s route.
Watch the Lightning Ball meter as lines clear.
Use it when ready and let the balloon reach the top.

Controls

Left and right: move the falling piece. Down: accelerate its fall. A: rotate. B: use the Lightning Ball when its meter is ready.

Puzzled / Joy Joy Kid (NGM-021 ~ NGH-021) — About this game

Puzzled, known in Japan as Joy Joy Kid, places a balloon beneath a field of blocks. Falling pieces remove completed horizontal lines, but the purpose of those clears is to open a vertical route so the balloon can rise out of the top. Clearing lines also fills the Lightning Ball meter. Once ready, that attack removes nearby blocks around the balloon, helping release it from a difficult position. Each solved arrangement moves the balloon farther up the tower instead of ending with an arbitrary line total.
