Controls
The first joystick moves, ducks or jumps. The second selects attacks: Right front kick, Left rear kick, Down low kick and Up roundhouse. First-stick Down plus second-stick Down or Right performs a sweep.
Karate Dou (Japan) — About this game
Karate Dou (Japan) judges clean strikes instead of draining a health bar. A successful attack earns a half or full point, and the contest is decided by those points rather than the number of blows exchanged without a break. Two joysticks combine movement and attack directions into kicks, sweeps, punches and jumping attacks. Learn the ordinary front kick at a safe distance before adding a two-stick combination, then wait for the next judged exchange instead of expecting a continuous damage combo.
