How to Play Kyuukai Douchuuki (Japan, new version (Rev B))
Quick start
- Position the batter with the joystick.
- Hold the first action button to swing; a short press can bunt.
- When pitching, choose speed with Up/Down before using the first button.
- After a catch, aim toward a base and use the first button to throw.
Controls
At bat, move in the box with the joystick and hold the first button to swing; a short press can bunt. Direction + second button initiates a steal. Before pitching, Left/Right positions the pitcher, Up selects slow and Down fast; the first button throws, then Left/Right bends the path. In the field, the joystick moves the fielders together. With the ball, direction + first button throws to a base and direction + second button runs there. For runners, direction + first button advances and direction + second button returns.

Kyuukai Douchuuki takes its baseball teams beyond a single national league. Its thirty-six choices include Japanese, American, Chinese, Russian, German, Arabic and Humbaba leagues, with exaggerated players keeping the contest in Namco’s cartoon sports style. The Japanese league can place a match in one of five stadiums, while the other leagues have their own fixed venues. Team selection therefore changes the setting of the next game as well as the side taking the field.
