Legend of Success Joe / Ashita no Joe Densetsu — About this game
Legend of Success Joe moves Joe Yabuki from street encounters into bouts against established boxing rivals. Its two actions combine with direction to produce several punches and defensive movements, including a sway away from an incoming blow. Each opponent needs a different answer, so watching the attack and choosing a counter is more useful than repeating a single punch. The three health sections also count the knockdowns that can end Joe’s attempt before the route to the title is complete.
