How to Play Super Spacefortress Macross / Chou-Jikuu Yousai Macross
Quick start
- Shoot the opening enemy formation.
- Collect F, G or B for a different Valkyrie form.
- Gather a power pickup.
- Use a bomb when the next enemy wave closes the route.
Controls
Move with the joystick, use Shot to fire the current form’s weapon and Bomb for the stocked stronger attack. F/G/B pickups change between Fighter, GERWALK and Battroid; each has its own attack pattern.

Super Spacefortress Macross changes its Valkyrie’s attack through the form icons collected in flight. F changes it to Fighter, G to GERWALK and B to Battroid, each with its own weapon pattern. Additional power pickups strengthen the current attack, while a separate bomb provides a stronger limited option. Choosing a form suited to the next enemy approach links the familiar transformation imagery to the shooting itself.
