How to Play Macross Plus
Quick start
- Choose one of the three aircraft.
- Fire through the incoming formations.
- Hold Shot to prepare a lock-on attack when the target allows it.
- Collect form, power, missile and bomb items as needed.
Controls
Joystick: move. A: shot; hold to lock on. B: bomb. Blue F changes to Fighter/Vulcan, red G to Gerwalk/laser and green B to Battroid/wide fire.
Macross Plus — About this game
Macross Plus gives its three selectable aircraft a vertical shooting mission with equipment that changes their attack. Transformation pickups offer Fighter, Gerwalk and Battroid forms, changing between Vulcan, laser and wide firing patterns. Holding the shot action prepares a lock-on attack, adding another way to approach a target beyond repeated ordinary fire. Other pickups strengthen the weapons, add missiles or supply bombs. Choosing when to lock on and which form to collect helps adapt the aircraft to the next formation.
