How to Play Mario Bros.
Quick start
- Stand on a platform below an approaching enemy.
- Jump to bump it from underneath.
- Reach the overturned enemy and kick it away.
- Save the limited POW block for a crowded floor.
Controls
Move left/right and use Jump. Bumping a platform from below overturns the enemy above; walking into an overturned enemy kicks it away. Jump into POW from below to affect enemies touching a surface.
Mario Bros. — About this game
Mario Bros. clears each sewer phase by attacking enemies from beneath their platforms, then kicking them away once overturned. Jumping directly onto an upright enemy is dangerous, so reaching the lower platform first changes the encounter. The POW block can flip enemies touching the floor, but its uses are limited. A delayed kick lets an enemy recover, while later foes and ice complicate the route. Learn a short bump-and-kick path near the opening pipe, then use the screen’s side wrap to reach another platform before the next enemy recovers.
