How to Play Mahjong G-Taste

Quick start

  1. Insert a credit, start the game and choose the available opponent or mode.
  2. Read the opening hand and identify a realistic yaku and tile shape to pursue.
  3. On each turn, select one tile to discard; preserve useful pairs and connected sequences while watching the opponent's discards.
  4. Use Chi, Pon or Kan only when the offered call helps the planned hand, and choose Riichi only with a closed ready hand when the game offers it.
  5. Choose Ron or Tsumo when offered for a legal winning hand; otherwise continue drawing and discarding until the hand ends.

Controls

Original mahjong panel: use the labeled tile keys to choose a discard and the dedicated Chi, Pon, Kan, Riichi, Ron and confirmation keys when those actions are offered. FBNeo joystick layout: use the eight-way joystick to move through menus and on-screen choices, then use the three registered numbered action buttons according to the on-screen prompt. The exact driver does not label stable individual roles for those three conversion buttons, so no unsupported button-number assignment is added.

Mahjong G-Taste — About this game

Mahjong G-Taste is Psikyo's single-player 2002 Japanese riichi-mahjong arcade game based on Hiroki Yagami's G-Taste. Build a legal winning hand by drawing and discarding tiles, use offered calls when they improve the hand, and declare a win only when the hand satisfies the game's yaku requirements. The original machine supports a labeled 19-key mahjong panel; the exact FBNeo set also exposes an eight-way joystick and three numbered action inputs for menu and on-screen selection.
