How to Play Mortal Kombat 3 (rev 2.1)
Quick start
- Choose a fighter and destiny route.
- Compare the high and low attacks.
- Block an incoming strike.
- Run forward for a close approach while watching the meter.
Controls
Use High Punch, Low Punch, Block, High Kick, Low Kick and Run with the joystick. Down + High Punch performs an uppercut; Back + Low Kick sweeps. Run works forward and consumes its meter.

Mortal Kombat 3 (rev 2.1) adds a forward run to its punch, kick, block and throw exchanges. Running consumes a meter, and preset combinations also draw on that resource, making an approach more deliberate than simply holding forward. The chosen fighter has special techniques and a chain of opponents determined by the selected destiny route. Certain uppercuts can move the fight into another part of a stage.
