How to Play Mortal Race
Quick start
- Choose a vehicle and an approachable course.
- Learn the first corners without wasting time on collisions.
- Watch for the route’s train crossing or other set piece.
- Improve the time after learning a safe line.
Controls
Use the directional controls to steer the selected vehicle and navigate the course. Use the three action inputs for acceleration, braking and the remaining race or confirmation action; their physical assignment is not inferred from generic labels.
Mortal Race — About this game
Mortal Race is a solo race against the clock rather than a contest against rival cars. Three vehicles and four course choices lead from easier roads to the unusual Mortal course above a hostile planet. Railway crossings, police activity and other set pieces interrupt the road, making route knowledge useful beyond simply taking a corner quickly. The different vehicles also change the approach to the track. Start on a manageable course and learn one hazard at a time, then attempt a faster run after finding the line that safely preserves the timer.
