How to Play NBA Jam (rev 3.01 4/07/93)
Quick start
- Choose a team and orient yourself toward the attacking basket.
- Move into space before committing to a scoring attempt.
- Watch the other players' positions as the attack develops.
- Fall back toward your own basket when possession changes.
Controls
Move with the eight-way joystick. Shoot/Block shoots on offence and jumps to block on defence. Pass/Steal passes on offence and steals on defence. Hold Turbo to run faster and enhance actions; combine Turbo with Shoot for a dunk near the basket. The top meters show remaining Turbo. With a computer teammate, the action buttons also tell that teammate when to shoot or pass back.
