How to Play NBA Maximum Hangtime (ver L0.9 10/30/96)
Quick start
- Choose an NBA pairing or a created player.
- Pass to move the defender before attacking the basket.
- Without the ball, use Turbo+Shoot toward the basket to request an alley-oop.
- Position the defender and time the block release.
Controls
Use Shoot/Block, Pass/Steal and Turbo with the joystick. Without the ball, Turbo+Shoot while approaching the basket calls for an alley-oop; the ball carrier passes to the rising teammate. On defence, hold the block action and release when the ball is near.
NBA Maximum Hangtime (ver L0.9 10/30/96) — About this game
NBA Maximum Hangtime (ver L0.9 10/30/96) is an exact registered version in this game family. NBA Hangtime adds created players and coordinated aerial scores to its two-on-two basketball. A created athlete divides attribute points among body size and playing skills, then earns further improvements through wins. During a match, alley-oops and double dunks make the teammate’s movement as useful as a clear solo shooting lane. Blocking also depends on position and the release timing rather than expecting a jump alone to swat every shot. Learn a short passing exchange before calling for the aerial finish, then defend the opponent’s next approach instead of following only the ball. Version-specific changes to characters, stages, timing, difficulty, balance, graphics or hidden content are not inferred where the registration does not document them.
