Quick start
- Choose the opening music.
- Accelerate and shift into high gear as speed builds.
- Steer around traffic and slow for a difficult bend.
- Choose a branch at the fork and reach the checkpoint.
Controls
Steer with the wheel input. Accelerator builds speed and Brake slows the car. Switch between Low and High gear to suit the speed. Keep clear of traffic and road edges while following the chosen branch.
Out Run (deluxe sitdown) (Enhanced Edition v2.0.3) — About this game
OutRun asks the driver to reach a destination before the road timer expires. Junctions divide the route, with each choice leading through a different sequence of scenery on the way to an ending. Passing a checkpoint adds time for the next section. Steering, accelerator, brake and a high/low gear shift work together: a fast approach must still leave enough control to avoid traffic and remain on the road.
