How to Play Pac-Land (World)
Quick start
- Tap the left or right movement button repeatedly to accelerate, then hold it to maintain speed.
- Take a running jump and see how speed changes your jump height.
- Press the opposite direction to stop and position yourself before narrow platforms or enemies.
- Use power pellets and high platforms while watching the time on your way to the goal.
Controls
The original cabinet has three buttons: move right, move left and jump. Tap a movement button repeatedly to accelerate, or hold it to keep your current speed. Press the opposite direction to stop sharply. Faster running produces higher jumps. Repeated taps in the opposite direction while airborne also let you adjust your path to a limited extent.
Pac-Land (World) — About this game
Pac-Man runs through towns and varied terrain, dodging monsters along the way. Repeatedly tapping a movement button increases his running speed, which also affects jump height. Build up speed before high obstacles, then use the opposite direction to stop sharply when needed. Some routes take you over monsters and buildings rather than along the ground. A power pellet temporarily lets you defeat monsters and jump higher. Pursuit intensifies when time runs out, so balance safer routes and detours as you head for the goal.
