How to Play Ponpoko
Quick start
- Move toward an accessible line of food.
- Use Up/Down to climb a ladder.
- Jump over a gap or apple core.
- Collect the remaining food before hunger expires, watching any snake released by a pot.
Controls
Move Left/Right on platforms and Up/Down on ladders. Jump clears gaps and deadly apple cores. Collect every food item to complete the screen. Avoid caterpillars, snakes, long falls and running out of hunger.
Ponpoko — About this game
Ponpoko sends a hungry tanuki around a single screen of platforms and ladders to gather every piece of food. Gaps and discarded apple cores require jumps, while caterpillars move along the routes and can cross openings that the player must respect. Mystery pots can contain a bonus or release a deadly snake, adding another risk to the collection route. Finishing quickly matters because the hunger reserve can run out before the last item is reached.
