How to Play Puyo Puyo 2 (Japan)

Quick start

Move the falling pair left or right and rotate it.
Join four or more Puyo of one colour.
Arrange the next clear above it to form a chain.
Counter incoming garbage while keeping the entry column open.

Controls

Left/Right: move the falling pair. Down: drop it faster. The two rotation actions turn it left or right. Join at least four Puyo of one colour; chains send garbage and can offset an opponent’s incoming attack.

Puyo Puyo 2 (Japan) — About this game

Puyo Puyo 2 (Japan) drops pairs of coloured Puyo into a field where groups of four or more disappear. The pieces above a cleared group fall, allowing successive groups to create a chain and send Garbage Puyo to the opponent. Its offset rule allows an attack of the player’s own to cancel incoming garbage, creating a choice between immediately defending and building a larger chain. Keeping the entry column open remains essential while arranging those future clears.
