Esta configuración de Raiden II New / Raiden DX utiliza la EEPROM de Raiden II. A dispara y B activa una bomba cuyo tipo depende del jugador: el primero utiliza la bomba frontal y el segundo, los proyectiles de protección. El armamento principal se distingue por colores rojo, azul y morado; con el morado, pulsar el disparo rápidamente activa una forma que fija varios blancos. En partidas de dos jugadores, cruzar los disparos rojos o azules entre ambas naves produce chispas de gran potencia.
