How to Play Rafflesia (not encrypted)
Quick start
- Move the ship clear of the first formation.
- Use standard fire for ordinary targets.
- Spend rapid fire when a difficult group needs a faster attack.
- Collect tears and clear the boss escorts before attacking the boss.
Controls
Move with the eight-way joystick. Standard Fire and Rapid Fire are separate actions. Rapid Fire consumes energy quickly; collecting the flashing tears replenishes it. Clear the accompanying ships before the area boss becomes vulnerable.
Rafflesia (not encrypted) — About this game
Rafflesia (not encrypted) pairs a vertically scrolling flight with an energy reserve used for rapid fire. Standard shots provide the ordinary attack, while rapid fire spends the reserve. Collecting the flashing tears restores energy, so chasing a supply is part of maintaining rapid fire as well as gathering score. At the end of an area, the large enemy remains protected until its accompanying ships have been destroyed. Saving energy leaves rapid fire available for that exchange.
