Quick start
- Choose a returning fighter or one of the newcomers.
- Compare the range of punch, kick and powerful attack.
- Practise a plane change where the stage permits it.
- Watch the gauge and health conditions before attempting a stronger powered move.
Controls
A punches, B kicks, C performs the powerful attack and D changes plane where allowed. A+B performs the attack avoider. Recovery has state-specific directions plus D; super and potential-power moves depend on gauge and health conditions, so consult the chosen fighter's commands.

Real Bout Fatal Fury 2 keeps weaponless martial-arts bouts moving between foreground and background planes while introducing Rick Strowd and Li Xiangfei. Plane switching offers an escape from some attacks, but the chosen stage can restrict the fight to a single plane and remove that option. Punches, kicks and powerful attacks form the ordinary offence, with gauge and health conditions governing stronger techniques. Learn when a move reaches another plane before relying on it, and keep an ordinary defensive answer ready when the scenery gives no room to switch.
