How to Play Raiden Fighters (Japan, earlier)
Quick start
- Choose an aircraft and identify its weapon system.
- Collect a Laser or Missile upgrade.
- On a standard fighter, hold and release Fire for the charged attack.
- Use drone companions to strengthen the next approach.
Controls
Fire shoots the selected aircraft’s weapon. Hold and release Fire for the five standard fighters’ charged Laser or Missile attack. Guest and Slave craft do not use that charge system.
Raiden Fighters (Japan, earlier) — About this game
Raiden Fighters (Japan, earlier) gives five standard aircraft their own Laser and Missile weapons, with each type supporting a charged attack. Drone companions add firepower and protection during the seven-stage operation. Guest aircraft from Raiden and Viper Phase 1 use different rules: they combine both weapon types, but do not share the standard craft’s charging system. Learn the selected fighter before pursuing another upgrade, then use the charge only if that aircraft supports it rather than assuming the same held action produces a special for every choice.
