How to Play Red Earth (Asia 961023, NO CD)
Quick start
- Choose a hero and learn its ordinary six-button attacks.
- Break a chest for health, experience or a Mystic Orb.
- Use Start to cycle held orb elements.
- Choose the hero’s Mystic technique before the story battle timer expires.
Controls
The six attacks are Light, Medium and Heavy Punch and Light, Medium and Heavy Kick. Double-tap forward or backward to dash. Press Punch + Kick while standing or crouching for Ultimate Guard, which blocks attacks and chip damage but does not stop throws. Start cycles the element of held Mystic Orbs. Mystic Force and character-specific Mystic Combos consume an orb; their effects depend on the held element.

Red Earth (Asia 961023, NO CD) gives its fantasy duels a growing hero and a supply of elemental Mystic Orbs. Story encounters reward experience through stages and pickups, while chests can provide medals, recovery or another orb. The element can be changed before committing to a Mystic attack, making the pickup more than a single fixed super move. Ultimate Guard protects against attacks and chip damage but leaves throws dangerous. Learn the chosen hero’s ordinary reach before relying on that guard, and keep the timer in view because an unfinished story battle is still a loss.
