How to Play Robocop (US, revision 1)
Quick start
- Learn Shoot/Punch and Jump.
- Shoot an enemy before closing the distance.
- Use close punches when the action changes.
- Collect a weapon or power-restoring item.
Controls
Move with the eight-way joystick. One action is Shoot/Punch and the other is Jump, as labelled in the original arcade conversion-kit manual.
Robocop (US, revision 1) — About this game
RoboCop follows Murphy’s armoured return to Detroit’s streets after OCP rebuilds the murdered officer. The side-scrolling patrol mixes gunfire with close punches and jumping past hazards. Weapon pickups change the available attack, while restorative items replenish power before the next confrontation. The arcade cabinet combines shooting and punching on one action rather than asking the player to choose a separate fist button.
