How to Play River Patrol (Japan, unprotected)
Quick start
- Use the directional control to line up the boat.
- Hold the engine action to travel upstream.
- Pass over swimmers to rescue them while avoiding obstacles.
- Release the engine to drift downstream when repositioning and continue toward the dam.

River Patrol (Japan, unprotected) — About this game
River Patrol (Japan, unprotected) sends a rescue boat upstream through a narrowing, hazardous river. The engine action moves it against the current, while releasing the accelerator lets the current carry it back downstream. Drowning people can be rescued by steering over them, but a rescue attempt must leave room around rocks, logs, boats and dangerous wildlife. The route grows harder to negotiate as the bends and gaps tighten. Reaching the dam before the boat’s available time runs out is the goal beyond the next rescue.
