Quick start
- Check sword energy after hits and missed swings.
- Stop attacking briefly and watch it recover.
- Use kicks and movement against an approaching opponent.
- Try meditation safely and observe the rage and Nothingness gauges.
Controls
A is light slash, B medium slash, A+B heavy slash and C kick. Hold D to meditate; direction+D uses actions such as rolling or lying prone. A+B+C activates Rage Explosion. Sword energy falls with attacks and misses and recovers while you do not attack.

Repeated slashes drain the sword energy gauge and weaken attacks, while resting from attacks restores it. Even a missed swing spends the resource, so measure the range before each strike instead of maintaining a continuous slash chain. A+B performs the heavy slash, C kicks and D handles special actions including meditation. Meditation transfers rage into another gauge, preparing the State of Nothingness when its conditions are met. Start by preserving recovery time, blocking normally and adjusting distance for attacks that will reach.
