How to Play Section Z (US)
Quick start
- Learn the separate Fire and Turn actions.
- Turn toward a threat while moving away from it.
- Collect movement or firepower pickups safely.
- Prepare for a boss at the end of the section group.
Controls
Fire shoots the rifle in the current left/right facing and drops bombs simultaneously. The separate Turn action reverses that facing without requiring movement toward the target.
Section Z (US) — About this game
Section Z (US) takes its astronaut through twenty-six lettered corridors toward L Brain. The arcade route alternates horizontal and upward scrolling across five stages, with a boss closing each group of sections. A separate turning action reverses the rifle’s left or right aim while movement continues, allowing a retreat to keep its gun on the threat. Firing also drops bombs toward the ground, and pickups improve movement or firepower. Learn a turn-and-retreat sequence before entering a narrow corridor, then keep the correct facing as the next section changes the scrolling direction.
