Street Fighter II: The World Warrior (World 910204, conversion) — About this game

Eight fighters enter a worldwide contest, each bringing a different reach, rhythm, and set of special techniques. Ryu and Ken can control space with projectiles, while other contestants rely on charge moves, rapid attacks, long limbs, or powerful close-range throws. A match asks you to reduce your opponent's vitality before they do the same to you; if time runs out, the remaining health matters. Standing, crouching, and jumping change the attacks available from the six-button layout, so choosing the right normal move is as important as learning a spectacular special. Guarding invites an opponent to take a risk, and that opening can become a counterattack. Computer-controlled rivals lead toward the four boss opponents, giving the original tournament a clear progression from familiar competitors to its final challenges.
