How to Play Shadowland (YD3)
Quick start
- Learn the ordinary ki shot and platform movement.
- Hold Down to charge a stronger projectile from a safe position.
- Collect money for useful shop items and investigate hidden routes.
- Adapt to flying spirit control during the guardian fight.
Controls
Move and jump through the platforms and fire ki projectiles. Hold Down to charge their strength. Guardian battles put the player in control of Monmotaro, who can fly and fire stronger energy shots.
Shadowland (YD3) — About this game
Shadowland (YD3) follows Tarosuke through an afterlife filled with monsters, platforms and hidden routes. His small ki projectiles can be strengthened by crouching to charge, while money from defeated enemies buys useful items. The first four stages lead to guardian fights in which a summoned spirit, Monmotaro, takes over the battle with flying movement and stronger shots. Later progress can depend on finding concealed objects as well as simply reaching the next platform. The route ends in judgment, with the final stage’s actions affecting Tarosuke’s fate. Search carefully, but do not let an unfamiliar enemy enter close range during a charge.
