How to Play Space Invaders (SV Version rev 3)
Quick start
- Move beneath a clear firing lane.
- Shoot the descending formation while avoiding return fire.
- Change position when a bunker no longer protects the base.
- Clear the last fast-moving invaders before they reach the bottom.
Controls
Move the laser base left or right and use Fire to shoot upward. Bunkers absorb shots but erode, including from the player’s fire. Reaching the bottom is a loss condition regardless of remaining lives.
Space Invaders (SV Version rev 3) — About this game
Space Invaders puts the player’s laser base beneath a descending alien formation. Eliminating a row creates space, but the remaining invaders accelerate as the group becomes smaller. Bunkers give partial cover and are gradually worn away by fire from either side, so a protected position does not stay safe forever. A mystery ship occasionally crosses the top for bonus points, offering a tempting distraction from the nearest attacker. Destroy the wave before it reaches the bottom: an invasion ends the game even if another laser base remains in reserve.
