How to Play Speccies 2
Quick start
- Look over the yellow objects and the spaces connecting them.
- Plan a route that will not need the same square twice.
- Move the Speccie along that route to collect the objects.
- Avoid closing the last opening to an uncollected object.
Controls
Directional control: roll the Speccie around the board. A visited square becomes inaccessible, so plan the route before crossing a narrow connection.
Speccies 2 — About this game
Speccies 2 turns the route through a board into the puzzle itself. The Speccie must collect every shimmering yellow object, but rolling over a square makes it inaccessible for the rest of that attempt. A convenient detour can therefore close the only remaining route to another object. The Taito L arcade version contains fifty layouts, including boards omitted from the smaller Spectrum version. Planning the entire collection route before spending a critical square helps avoid trapping the character in a corner.
