How to Play Super Space Invaders '91 (World, earlier code base)
Quick start
- Move left and right while thinning out the invaders with normal shots.
- Shoot overhead UFOs and collect the items they drop.
- Use an available special weapon when enemies gather together.
- Defeat the boss, choose a route and enter the next zone.
Controls
Move the joystick left and right to position the cannon. The two buttons fire normal shots and use the special weapon you have collected. Some items take effect immediately on pickup, so check the display and your remaining equipment. The cannon moves horizontally, not freely up and down.

Fire from the bottom of the screen at invaders approaching in varied patterns. Alongside left and right movement and normal shots, special weapons add more ways to attack. Shoot down passing UFOs to release items that improve rapid fire, add shields or provide weapons with a wide area of effect. Some items activate on pickup; others use the special-weapon button. Use the right weapon when enemies cluster together. A giant boss waits at the end of each zone, followed by a route choice that leads to different enemies and scenery. Bonus scenes have you shoot UFOs trying to abduct cows. Learn to dodge ordinary shots left and right while moving safely beneath falling items.
