How to Play Super Sidekicks / Tokuten Ou

Quick start

Choose a team for the SNK Cup.
Move the ball with short passes and longer kicks.
Shoot when an opening appears.
Defend with a slide or tackle after losing possession.

Controls

Directional control: move the player. Attacking: A shoots or makes a long kick; B makes a short pass. Defending: A slides; B tackles.

Super Sidekicks / Tokuten Ou — About this game

Super Sidekicks sends a national team into the SNK Cup against the other teams in its group, followed by a semifinal and final. Its original two-button controls distinguish the shot or long kick from the short pass. On defence, the same actions become a slide and a tackle, requiring a different response after possession changes. Choosing among the twelve teams changes the formation, while the tournament route provides the sequence of opponents on the way to the cup.
