How to Play Star Guards
Quick start
- Start and practise moving with the left directional control.
- Use the right directional control to shoot toward enemies.
- Collect energy while locating and destroying leaders.
- Use the available special weapon and continue through the star map.
Controls
Left directional control: move the robot. Right directional control: shoot in the selected direction. The original arrangement uses two eight-way joysticks per player. The Start/Weapon input starts play and provides the weapon action during play, as labelled by the FBNeo core.
Star Guards — About this game
Star Guards is a multidirectional robot shooter for up to three players. Each player moves with one directional control and fires with another, allowing movement and attack to point in different directions. Collect energy to sustain the robot while seeking out the leaders on each star. Defeating those leaders determines who conquers the location, with successful progress eventually providing new weapons. The combination of independent movement, directional shooting and energy management defines its basic rhythm.
