How to Play Strike Fighter (Japan)
Quick start

Controls
Use the analog Left/Right and Up/Down controls to guide the aircraft, and Throttle to change speed. The three Fire inputs operate the gun and missile attack systems; their physical weapon order is not inferred from the generic labels.

Strike Fighter (Japan) seats the pilot in an F-14 cockpit against formations of enemy aircraft and their returning fire. Its gun and missiles serve the attack while the flight path must avoid the shots and missiles crossing the view. The encounter is seen from inside the aircraft, making aim and evasion parts of the same constantly changing approach. Learn a short correction to keep a target in view before chasing another aircraft through its incoming fire, then leave room to break away when a missile makes the straight line unsafe.
