How to Play Super World Stadium '97 (Japan)
Quick start
- Select the teams, stadium and starting pitcher.
- Use B to swing and A to advance or steal when batting.
- Use the return-to-base action when a runner should retreat.
- On defence, pitch or throw with B and use A for a pickoff or tag.
Controls
Joystick: move the controlled player. Batting: A advances runners or steals; B swings, returns runners or confirms; C requests time. Defence: A makes a pickoff or tag play; B pitches or throws; C requests time. Direction+B selects a quick throw.

Super World Stadium ’97 lets the player choose among Japanese professional baseball teams and a fictional USA side before selecting a stadium and starting pitcher. The game displays both full batting lineups as the teams take their places. Batting and defence use different roles for the same three buttons, so advancing or returning a runner needs a different response from pitching and throwing. Learning those actions helps turn the team selection into decisions on the field instead of simply waiting for the next swing.
