How to Play Thief
Quick start
- Steer through streets covered with bills.
- Avoid police cars while they are blue.
- Collect a large dollar symbol to make police temporarily vulnerable.
- Finish collecting all bills and enter the next maze.
Controls
Directional joystick: steer through the maze. Run over bills and dollar symbols to collect them; police cars can be rammed only during their red vulnerable state.
Thief — About this game
Thief puts a getaway car into street mazes covered with dollar bills. Collecting every bill opens the next layout, but pursuing police cars try to cut across the collection route. Large dollar symbols temporarily change that relationship: the police turn red and can be rammed for points. Tunnels provide shortcuts on some layouts, while others leave the car to navigate without an escape across the edge. As the game progresses, faster pursuit makes deciding when to use a dollar symbol part of clearing the remaining streets.
