How to Play Thunder Fox (Japan, rev 1)
Quick start
- Try normal attacks and jumps to learn your reach.
- Use a collected weapon with Item and check its range and attack pattern.
- Use normal attacks close up and firearms at a distance.
- Watch health, time and fall hazards as you advance toward the base.
Controls
Use an eight-direction joystick and Attack, Jump and Item buttons. Fire collected weapons with Item. Hold it to keep a flamethrower firing. With a flamethrower, machine gun or bazooka equipped, Attack strikes with the weapon instead of shooting.
Thunder Fox (Japan, rev 1) — About this game
Thunder and Fox fight a terrorist organization through five side-scrolling stages. Use Attack, Jump and Item for distinct actions on the way to the enemy base. Collect flamethrowers, grenades, handguns, machine guns and bazookas, each with different reach or blast coverage. Even with a flamethrower or certain other guns equipped, the normal attack strikes with the weapon instead of firing it, so separate close combat from ranged attacks. Jeeps, gyrocopters and marine jets appear along the way. Watch health, the time limit and dangerous drops as you check enemies and platforms ahead.
