How to Play Timber
Quick start
- Move beside a tree.
- Use the chop action facing its side.
- Push the weakened tree or move clear as it falls.
- Find another standing tree before the remaining time expires.
Controls
Move in four directions. Chop Left and Chop Right swing the axe to the respective side; the original cabinet uses a separate chopping lever. A tree needs repeated blows, or can be pushed after being weakened. Keep clear of falling trunks and beehives.
Timber — About this game
Timber turns a patch of suddenly growing trees into a timed logging quota. The lumberjack must stand beside a trunk and chop from the appropriate side, then move clear as the tree falls. Fallen wood can obstruct the next route, while a bear’s thrown beehives add a danger that can be avoided or struck with the axe. A second logger can help meet the quota or compete for the higher count, even directing a falling tree toward the rival.
