Quick start

Controls
Move in the four cardinal directions. Tap the action button to draw and resheathe the sword, or hold it to keep the blade forward. With the sword sheathed, the shield protects the front; with it drawn, the shield covers Gil’s left side.

The Tower of Druaga (Old Ver.) makes each floor a search for both the exit key and a hidden treasure. Gil’s sword defeats enemies, but drawing it changes the shield’s protection, so approaching a knight differs from facing a spell. Secret tasks reveal equipment such as wall-breaking pickaxes, faster boots and ghost-revealing candles. Several items are essential to the sixty-floor rescue, making a direct rush from key to door insufficient.
