Quick start
- Move toward an egg matching the dinosaur’s colour.
- Punch a caveman blocking the route.
- Use a pineapple transformation to eat pursuers.
- Collect the remaining eggs and reach Home.
Controls
Move the dinosaur around the island and use Punch to stun an approaching Trog. Collect your eggs and then reach Home. A pineapple temporarily allows eating the Trogs; avoid the island edges and hazards.

Trog (prototype, rev 4.00 7/27/90)’s revision 4.00 prototype uses an indirect puzzle-and-strategy approach. The player controls a hand that lays bones to guide the corresponding dinosaur along a route, rather than steering that dinosaur through the final game’s egg chase. This bone-guidance design predates the change made after location testing, giving the prototype a different form of player control.
