How to Play Turpin
Quick start
- Open a question-mark box by moving onto it.
- If it contains a baby, carry it to the appearing house.
- Drop a mine to stun a pursuing beetle.
- Collect replacement mines near the maze’s centre.
Controls
Move through the maze and onto question-mark boxes. The attack action drops a stationary mine that temporarily stuns a beetle; replacement supplies appear near the centre.
Turpin — About this game
Turpin makes every question-mark box a rescue opportunity or another pursuer. A baby turtle climbs onto the rescuer’s back and must be carried to the house that appears, but another box can release an enemy beetle instead. Dropped mines temporarily stun pursuers and can be replenished from the centre of the maze. Clear the babies from each floor to climb through the eight-floor building. Leave a route to the house before opening the next box, then save a mine for a narrow passage where escaping the new beetle would be difficult.
