How to Play V-Five (Japan)

Quick start

Move while holding A to fire.
Collect diamonds to advance the highlighted upgrade.
Wait for the desired choice on the bar.
Press B to activate it and reset the selection.

Controls

Joystick: move. Hold A: fire the equipped weapon. B: activate the highlighted upgrade-bar option. Diamonds advance the selection; this version uses the upgrade bar instead of stocked bombs.

V-Five (Japan) — About this game

V-Five builds its vertical shooting around an upgrade bar. Collecting a diamond advances the highlighted equipment choice, and the selection button activates that choice before resetting the bar. Speed, weapon, power and shield options therefore compete for the same collected diamonds. The ship’s WING attachments support Shot, Search and Missile attacks, giving the equipment choice an effect on both coverage and damage. Unlike the overseas Grind Stormer system, the second action selects upgrades rather than releasing a stocked bomb.
