How to Play Volfied (US, rev 1)

Quick start

Move along the border and watch for the boss to move away.
Make a short cut and reconnect to the border.
Enclose energy blocks for useful items.
Check enemies and shield, then claim at least 80% of the field.

Controls

Move with the joystick and hold Cutter to draw into the field. Reconnect to the border to claim the enclosed area. With a laser equipped, the same button also fires shots. Your shield is off while drawing, so avoid enemies and bullets until the cut is complete.

Volfied (US, rev 1) — About this game

Draw laser-cutter lines to claim sections of the field. The border normally protects you with a shield, but cutting inward removes that protection. Watch the boss and smaller enemies and plan short paths back to safety. Claim at least 80% to clear the stage, either building safe areas gradually or leaving the boss in a small section to claim a larger one. Enclosing energy blocks grants items with freeze effects, speed boosts or lasers against smaller enemies. Your border shield is limited too, so find openings rather than waiting forever.
