How to Play VS. Duck Hunt
Quick start
- Aim the lightgun at the moving duck or clay target.
- Fire before it escapes.
- Preserve the remaining lives by making each shot count.
- In the bonus, wait for a clear shot around the dog.
Controls
Aim the lightgun and pull the trigger. The arcade rounds alternate ducks and clay targets. Avoid shooting the dog during the bonus because doing so ends that section.
VS. Duck Hunt — About this game
VS. Duck Hunt alternates two-duck shooting with clay-target rounds, using twelve targets in a round rather than the home game’s ten. Every missed target costs a life, making another careful hit more useful than a rushed burst at the edge of the screen. Bonus sections send ducks out of the grass while the dog jumps into the line of fire. Hitting the dog ends that bonus, so hold the shot until the duck is clear. Learn a moving target’s path before spending another chance on it.
